The right level of support,

built specifically for your business.

Tier 1 - Essentials · Strategic Direction

Clear direction on your marketing,

without hiring a marketing team.

You know your business. You may not know where to spend, what to say, or what's actually working. Choose what you need from the menu whenever you need it, and request it through a short written brief. You receive strategy in plain language that tells you where to focus and what to do next, and you act on it on your own schedule.

Investment
Essentials · As Needed

Common Questions
I don't know much about marketing. Is that okay?

Yes. That's exactly who Essentials is for. Everything is written in plain language, with clear next steps.

Do I have to get on calls?

No. Essentials is written by design: requests, questions, and feedback all happen by email, on your schedule. If you'd like regular conversations and ongoing support, you can move to Advisor at any time.

What if I want to talk things through later?

You can move up to Advisor at any time, which adds an ongoing thought partnership with regular strategy conversations.

4

Ongoing partnership and access. Meet regularly, receive the strategic work, and get answers in between.

Common Questions
We already have an agency. Does this replace them?

No. Advisor sits alongside your agency, giving you independent strategic direction and a senior view on their work.

What if we need something outside our scope?

It's quoted at a rate disclosed in your agreement, and only begins once you approve it in writing.

Why start with a questionnaire?

So your scope and rate are based on real information about your business, not assumptions.

Tier 3 - Executive · Fractional CMO

CMO-level leadership,

without the full-time hire.

Senior marketing leadership structured around your business: embedded as a fractional CMO, providing strategic oversight of your in-house team and agency partners, or leading a defined initiative where the stakes are high. Backed by 20+ years leading brand, media, and performance strategy at the largest agencies, plus board-level work in brand safety.

Investment

Questions

Frequently asked

questions

Which tier is right for my business?

Start with how involved you want us to be. Essentials gives you clear, written direction to carry out. Advisor adds regular strategy conversations and direct access. Executive provides fractional CMO leadership or oversight of your team or agency. Not sure yet? Start with the Business Questionnaire and we'll recommend a fit.

How are fees set?

On what your business and brand need, and how complex the work is, not on the size of your company. That's why prices are shown as ranges. Your rate and scope are confirmed in writing before any work begins, in a Service Agreement for Essentials or a signed Statement of Work for Advisor and Executive. They never change without 30 days' written notice.

Why does every engagement start with a questionnaire?

Because context is what makes the work useful. The questionnaire captures your business, brand, and goals so your scope is built on real information. Discovery is then the first work of every engagement. Strategy without that context is generic. That is not the standard here.

What does the Marketing Diagnostic cost, and do I need it?

The Marketing Diagnostic is $3,500. It is month one of every Advisor and Executive engagement and the recommended start for Essentials. Essentials clients can begin with a $1,000 one-time onboarding instead.

Are there any hidden fees or markups?

No. Every fee is disclosed before work begins. There are no media commissions, production markups, or technology pass-throughs, and we earn nothing from the channels, partners, or vendors we recommend.

What if I need work outside my scope?

It is quoted at the rate disclosed in your agreement, and work begins only with your written approval.

Is Strategy Butler a replacement for my agency?

No — and it is not designed to be. Strategy Butler is the senior strategic counsel layer that most businesses have never had. For businesses that have execution covered, it complements your agency by sharpening the strategic direction they work from. For businesses without an agency, it provides the strategic foundation that makes internal execution more purposeful. The two roles are different by design.

What does Strategy Butler provide on media?

Strategic guidance — not media planning or buying. That means recommending channels to consider and explore, identifying a consideration set of potential partners, reviewing an existing media plan and providing strategic feedback, assessing a current partnership or platform offer, and advising on how brand and performance media work together. What falls outside scope: developing detailed media plans with partner specifics, placements, or flowcharts; vendor negotiations; campaign trafficking or setup; and any form of media buying.

Is this a subscription or a long-term contract?

No. Essentials is requested as you need it. Advisor and Executive run for a term set in your Statement of Work and are billed monthly. Either way, it's an ongoing professional relationship: the longer we work together, the more specific the guidance becomes to your business.

Next Step
